Welcome to episode one of new mix series I am starting in 2025 called, Mixology, turntablist forward sets where I DJ with mostly remixes of popular songs and/or remix / mash-up / obfuscate tracks live. A vehicle for me to get more into the tech of breaking down a track’s elements to create something new and performing it live.
I will be posting all episode video on my YouTube and the audio only on my Soundcloud pages.
These episodes are all single take videos of session mixes where I curated a crate of music for a specific sound and see what happens. Some episodes will be rougher around the edges than others depending on how far out there I am deciding to reach.

Episode One was shot in front of a frozen fountain right outside my apt in North Carolina. What you can’t hear is all the folks driving by honking at me and waving while I was recording the video. It was pretty cool to see folks reacting so positively to someone just sitting at a frozen fountain with a bunch of tech in the cold during rush hour.
